oder "Berlin ist immer eine Reise wert !!!"
or " Berlin always worth it !!!"
I visited Berlin last week to say good-bye to the city, because my daughter will move soon and I'm not sure if I will have the chance to come back to the city of bears and constructions.
My trip started Saturday,4th with the flight (picture#1) from Dusseldorf to Berlin with a 2 1/2 hours delay.
But L. and I enjoyed the walk through "Tiergarten" (picture#2) after dropping my suitcase at home.
On Sunday we were in "Steglitz" (picture#3) and the botanic garden in Dahlem (picture#4).
Then L. had to go to work and I spent most of the days alone roaming through the city. I climbed up the "Column of Victory" - 285 steps! (picture#5), made photos of the "Brandenburg Gate" (picture#6) and of the hotel Adlon ( picture#7), I visited the Jewish Museum with Verena (picture#8), went through the streets of "Kreuzberg" and "Prenzlauerberg" (pictures#9/10), visited the Jewish cemetery (picture#11), met Magda in Spandau with it's beautiful old town and citadel (picture#12), went by bus No.200 to the television tower at Alexander Place (picture#13) and went up the "Humboldt Box" to take a pictuere of the "Berlin Dome" (pictures#14/15). I was at the "Potsdam Place" (picture#16), in Tegel (picture#17) and at the Humboldt University (picture#18). My ticket really paid it, but the visit of the Photograph Museum didn't, too bad. I enjoyed the walk along the Spree River (picture#19) and checked if our Federal President was at home - grin - (picture#20). After the last dinner on Friday,10th at the pizzeria "The 12 Apostles" it was time to take the flight back home (picture#21). There's still so much to see, to do, to discover I have to come back to one of the cooliest cities I know !!!
